Jesus came to them and said, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth! Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world. Matthew 28:18-20

Baptism

The United Methodist Church only observes two sacraments: Baptism & Communion. In the United Methodist Church both Children and Adults can be baptized. Baptism is the public declaration of the inward decision to give one’s life to Christ. In Baptism, UMC Vista, along with family and friends make a sacred commitment before God that all will be witness and lend guidance to the life being offered to Christ. Baptism is the first step in the journey of being a disciple of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is open to all (age, race, gender, sexuality, or ability) when wishes to receive the sacrament. If you are interested in your child or yourself being baptized, please contact the church office or Rev. George Hooper
