Circle G Ranch is coming!   Our Spring VBS mission project is the Pennies for Peace campaign.  Jars will be out around the church now through the week of VBS, March 30-April 3 to collect any and all pennies.  This is a program of the Central Asia Institute (CAI) founded by Greg Mortenson, author of best seller Three Cups of Tea.  CAI promotes and provides community-based education and literacy programs, especially for girls, in remote regions of Central Asia.  Founded in 1996, CAI has built, to date, nearly 100 schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan, serving more than 28,000 students (over 14,000 girls).  A penny in these countries can buy a pencil, start an education and transform lives in areas where terrorist organizations recruit uneducated and illiterate children.  The program encourages children around the world to become members of a global family dedicated to peace and sharing God’s love around the world. Don’t forget to register. Questions?  Check your upcoming Flame issues, pick up literature from the VBS  Registration table or see or call Barb. Mitchell, 724-0923.
