• High school youth meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm in Room 204.

• Middle school youth meet on Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

     Meet at the UMC of Vista

WHAT  IS  U.M.Y.F. ?
UMYF   =  United   Methodist   Youth   Fellowship 
We hope to mix these elements... and more into a 2 hour program......  Fellowship/ Worship/ Study/ Mission  HOPEFULLY....... WEEKLY  !  every Thursday. 
Last year it went something like this
6-6:15   Gathering.... music... FOOD... announcements
6:15-6:45   GAMES    (sports/ ice'breakers/ biblical)
6:45-7:30  PROGRAM -- Bible/Drama/Mission/Games/Movie parables
7:30-8:00  CLEAN UP/  CLOSING/  PRAYERS We are having a YOUTH COUNCIL meeting tonight to discuss THIS VERY THING !   If you have ideas, let me know..... CALL or come to the meeting !

Our first information meeting on SSP 2009 was held :

GREETings  all......  IF  you kids want more than
 
          just hot-dogs (or corn-dogs and/or pizza-ettes)
 
              THEN---  you should bring some.... FOOD  !!! 
 
                  Something to share would be nice.......
 
     Let's see- the Cogdills brought Pizza a while back......
 
                    Jojo had a BIG Pool party (ANOTHER COMING !)
 
                     Ranae bought the corn dogs and stuff........
 
               ANY ONE  ELSE ???   DID I MISS SOMEONE ??
 
         We have plenty of drinks and chips......... 
 
      SO,  DIDJA HEAR ?   LAST WEEK---------- 
 
                   N O     O  N  E    SHOWED UP!

            I was at my REHEARSAL.... NO  WAY  !!
 
   MY  REHEARSALs  do NOT mess with YOUTH group (much)
 
          In a couple of weeks (OCT 16th)  I will try to get
 
       TICKETS FOR EVERYONE TO SEE THE dress rehearsal !
 
        So,  I hope to see (mostly) HIGH SCHOOLERS on WED
 
        and   a  BUNCH OF YA (mostly MIDDLE SCHOOLERS) ...
 
                   ON   THURSDAY !!!!!!!!!!!  Remember ----
 
             ANYONE  CAN COME TO ANY YOUTH GROUP  !!!
 
     AND....... DON'T  FORGET.......  VISTA  R.O.C.  !!!!
 
                 SATURDAY....... 0800  !  NEED A RIDE ????
 
       THE LOCATION IS PAST COCOAs  ON  EAST VISTA WAY-
 
         UP  INTO  THE  SANTA CLARA neighborhood..........
 
           We will park near COCOAs... and be 'taxi'd  up !!!! 
 
       (or,  I may do some research and park near the OLIVE
 
        street  entrance into the back of the neighborhood)  
 
        Let me know IF  ya need a ride........
 
      oh yeah.. and  WEDNESDAY is a BIG BOY SCOUT NIGHT !
 
             AT  OUR CHURCH !!   A   BSA  'ROUND-UP'  !!!

                   We have a MISSION PROJECT too !   It involves.... TURKEYS !!!  &  we gotta move fast ! (turkeys are quick)
