The General Conference of The United Methodist Church, in April 1996, adopted a resolution aimed at reducing the risk of child sexual abuse in the church. The adopted resolution includes the following statement: Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes [a] child, welcomes me.” (Matthew 18:5).
Worship for Children:
Children and youth are welcome at both worship services. At the 8:45 a.m. service, there will be a children’s message, followed by Sunday school. Parents pick up children at their classrooms at 10:00 a.m.
On the first Sunday of each month, students will exit during announcements for Sunday School and return after the sermon to participate in communion with their families.
At the 10:30 a.m. service, children are invited to worship with their families, there are Children’s Bulletins and “Busy” activities in a basket in the back of the sanctuary or by asking an Usher.
